Your own app or agent, built around one workflow.

Have work that calls for its own app or agent? Upsider builds a first version around one workflow, with a metric and a decision point. PocketBOA, RTGB Trainer and Bobby show what we have built.

Who it is for
Organisations that want to support one recurring workflow better.
What we build
Apps, agents and connections around one workflow and the people who use it.
How we work
We start with a defined first version, measure its use and then decide whether to expand it.
App management
We hand over the app or manage it for you, as agreed.

In practice

What we have built

Three applications built for specific work. Each shows what a focused app or agent can look like.

Municipal enforcement officers

PocketBOA

Built by Upsider with Training Solutions

Problem
Staff need quick access to national rules, local decisions and action guides, even without a connection.
Solution
A digital handbook for municipal enforcement officers (boa's) on iOS and Android. National rules, local by-laws and decisions are searchable offline, with action guides and a photo guide. Changes are processed overnight.
Role of AI
The assistant answers only from its own source: the handbook. It does not answer beyond it.

Dutch enforcement officers

RTGB Trainer

In partnership with Training Solutions

Problem
Preparing for the RTGB theory exam calls for focused practice and a clear view of progress.
Solution
An exam-practice app for the RTGB theory exam (Dutch enforcement officers) on iOS and Android, with mock exams, a review list, progress tracking and licences managed by organisation.
Role of AI
This is a practice app, not an open AI assistant. Mock exams, review and progress are its focus.

Football scouts and clubs

Bobby

Developed by Upsider with The Scouting Company

Problem
Scouting reports are useful when you can find and compare players against specific questions.
Solution
An AI football scout on Telegram, WhatsApp and iOS. Ask about players in plain language, compare them, read reports and follow club news. Bobby works in several languages and is hosted in the EU.
Role of AI
Bobby bases its answers on reports from professional scouts. Those reports are the assistant's source.

Our approach

Define the scope, then build

  1. 01

    Discuss the work

We discuss what work the app should address and who will use it.

  2. 02

    Design the first version

We map one workflow: what data it needs, where a person checks the output and what we will measure. We agree a metric and a limit upfront.

  3. 03

    Make the decision

With the scope, metric and limit agreed, you decide whether to build the first version.

  4. 04

    Build and hand over

We build the app, put it into use and measure it. Then we hand it over with documentation. You or Upsider can manage it, as agreed.

AI apps

Good to know

Who owns the app after delivery?
We agree in advance who holds the code and data, and who manages the app. A handover includes documentation. Upsider can also manage it if that is what you agree.
What if the first version does not do what we hoped?
Before building, we agree a metric and a limit for the first version. Once we have measured it, you decide whether to stop, adjust or scale up.
How do you handle our data?
We agree what data the app uses and where a person checks its output. Customer data is not used to train AI models and goes to an AI system only as agreed. See Data and security for more detail.
Do we need our own developers?
No. Upsider can build and put the first version into use. We agree who on your side knows the workflow and data, then set out the handover or management arrangements.

Discuss an app idea

Tell us what work you want an app to address. We reply within one working day. In our first conversation, we discuss the users, workflow and scope of a first version.
